  • Exceptional success of business programme events among specialists: over 1150 delegates

“Climate World-2016” — the specialized exhibition for advanced technologies in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration took place in CEC “Expocentre” (Pavilion 2) on 1-4 March 2016.

Crowded aisles and intensive work at in the stands — that is the visible result of the most awaited industry-specific exhibition. Over 23,940 visitors attended the international business and innovation platform during four exhibiting days.

The exhibition has gained its indisputable reputation among the specialists due to its diversity, as “Climate World” offers a shortest way to the market for the manufacturers. For the state authorities and for the people of business the show is an opportunity to respond quickly to the latest trends in climate and refrigeration industries.

“This exhibition, of course, is part of our image, an event that maintains our reputation. We are struggling for being recognized as a stable, reliable partner, regardless of the economic situation in the country. There were a lot of our clients at the show: design engineers, representatives of installation companies, and even students. Above all, we are very satisfied with the quality of the trade visitors”

Yulia Semenova, marketing communication manager, Systemair

“Climate World 2016” represented over 250 leading manufacturers and distributors of HVAC products, as well as installation, design and engineering companies from 23 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the UK, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Belarus, Korea, Russia, Serbia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan.

The world leading companies, well-known in the Russian market took part at the show, including Siemens, Eliwell, EBM-PAPST, FRITERM, Güntner, Karyer, LU-VE Group. The Russian manufacturers and distributors were represented by “VEZA Group”, “Markon-Holod”, “Vozdukhotechnika” “Sistemy Kontrolya”, “Teplomash”, “Industrial Refrigeration Systems”, “Izhevsk Heating Equipment Factory”, “Tropik-Line” and many others.

“There are regional projects that have HVAC sections, but if we talk about the global industry event, in my opinion, and in the opinion of the entire market, this status belongs to ‘Climate World’ exhibition”

Alexander Stepanov, director, “BREEZE Climate systems”

“Climate World” is a convenient place for the industry experts for joint discussions of current market challenges. This year over 1150 delegates visited the business programme events.

The 10th Anniversary International Congress on “Energy efficiency. 21st Century. Engineering methods to reduce energy consumption of buildings” took place traditionally within the show. Leading HVAC industry experts discussed the ways to reduce energy consumption of buildings, and touched upon issues of legal and regulatory documentation. The Congress ended with a public discussion of the Album of standard design solutions for automated heating plants and fastening of engineering system piping. According to the participants, the Congress proved again the relevance of issues raised and its practical significance for the industry specialists.

In 2016 the official partner of the exhibition was EUROVENT Association of European HVAC&R manufacturers. The Association members came to the exhibition to share their experiences and latest developments and technologies in HVAC equipment at the EUROVENT/APIC seminar “Innovation Centre (INNOVATION/HUB)”. Their presentations were dedicated to energy efficiency improvement of diverse HVAC equipment: air curtains, ventilation and humidification units.

The Russian Union of Refrigeration Industry Enterprises and the University of Mechanical Engineering hosted the Forum “Refrigeration industry — current situation, problems and solutions” for the first time within the exhibition’s business programme.

The experts discussed problems and development prospects of refrigeration industry, ways of overcoming import dependence on refrigeration equipment, creation of industry’s professional qualification system, measures to support research and development, introduction of energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, and other topical issues.

The Forum was followed by the Conference “Current Development of Refrigeration Industry”, which highlighted the issues of refrigerant choice for refrigeration units, relevance of the ban of using some agents and the necessity for new eco-friendly and safe refrigerants application.

“School of Young Scientists” section was a platform for presentations of the engineers, students and post-graduate students of the leading Russian specialized universities.

“Climate Expo-2016” exhibitor reviews

“This is an excellent place for making decisions on the current business issues, for understanding where we go, for setting a vector, based on what is happening in the industry. For many companies difficult times means cutting budgets: saving on advertising or on staff. But it is hardly possible to save on place that attracts all the key players, where you can show to everyone what you can do, monitor what competitors offer, and make certain conclusions. In my opinion, this is one of the most effective investments in marketing tools. In our case — this exhibition is #1 tool for business that is moving forward and developing. This year the visitor quality has improved, because the accommodation, flight, time — everything costs money. While in previous shows people came just to look, talk, the rhythm of the show was more relaxed, and all the visitors come with very specific objectives, and define very specific goals. Therefore, the quality of the visitors and their number are much better than in previous years”

Mina Khachtryan, strategic marketing director, Rusklimat

“This year we have very good impressions. Climate World’ is the only exhibition in Russia, where our company exhibits; we have refused to participate in other shows. We work in different sectors, including refrigeration, air ventilation and conditioning equipment. Therefore, this exhibition for us is an ideal platform for presenting our products to a wide range of consumers”

Andrey Khonstein, general director, EBM-PAPST Rus

“I do not consider the crisis as a reason for non-participation at the show. In the contrary, crisis is a time to come up with new ideas, new solutions, new technologies, as we do. For us, this exhibition is an image event of practical importance: we present our company and our technology, our potential customers, partners and even private customers are coming, and we can make calculations of their project right here on the stand”

Alexander Stetsenkov, deputy director of AERECO office in Russia

“Hogart” turns 20. We would like to celebrate this anniversary with our customers and partners, so we are in the exhibition. This year there were a lot of visitors, and we tried to pay attention to everyone. Sometimes we did not have enough people available, so we gathered the guests in groups and conducted guided tours at our stand. The market needs “Climate World” and we are happy to participate in this show“

Natalia Dovgaliuk, marketing and advertising manager, Hogart

“Every self-respecting company should participate in ‘Climate World’ exhibition, to show itself in Russia and the world. Everyone is in positive and festive mood. The crisis does not affect this exhibition, the stands have not become cheaper, everything remains at a high level”

Maksim Bychkov, “VEZA”

“We choose ‘Climate World’ because we like to work directly with Russian engineers without intermediaries. We want to study their strengths and weaknesses, in order to offer the best solution. As for the crisis, we did not feel it. Hospitals, DPCs, new large office buildings are being built, the old one are reconstructed. They all require humidification and cooling, so we do not worry about the future of the industry”

Irina Bernstein, business development director in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Condair

“Foreign companies need the Russian market, they treat him with respect. Previously, a lot of components were made on request of the Russian market, but they were manufactured abroad. Now production of many components has started Russia. It is a good time to share our achievements at the exhibition. The show is a place of a lively dialogue between professionals, which helps in understanding what they need to create modern energy-efficient solutions that ultimately meet the customer requirements”

Ivan Smerdov, leading engineer, Meibes RUS

“Climate World-2016” was organized by “Euroexpo” and the Russian Association of Climate Industry Professionals (APIC).
